Children First - House of Sweden, Washington

The Swedish embassy in Washington has initiate an exhibition on the theme of children's rights and Swedish children's culture at the House of Sweden in Washington.
The event "Children First" will take place from 12 September to 25 November 2007.

Both children from 6-12 years and people in the position to decide on issues regarding children are invited.

The Swedish Film Institute has been invited to co-arrange a conference about children and medias and to fill the activities at the film room with content.

Among others the film "Aston's Stones" by Uzi and Lotta Geffenblad will be screened on dvd for groups of children under the period of the event.

Sveriges Ambassad i Washington har tagit initiativ till en temasatsning kring barns rättigheter och svensk barnkultur på House of Sweden i Washington. Arrangemanget pågår 12 september till 25 november 2007 och kallas "Children First".

Satsningen riktas dels till barn 6-12 år, dels till beslutsfattare som arbetar med frågor som rör barn.

Svenska Filminstitutet har inbjudits att delta som medarrangör till en konferens om barn och medier samt med innehåll och programverksamhet i ett filmrum för barn.

Bl a visas en dvd med filmen "Astons stenar" av Uzi & Lotta Geffenblad för olika barngrupper på House of Sweden i Washington under denna period.
